Good Morning to you all, I hope your Christmas preparations are all going to plan, not long now until the big day.

Following our Desert Island crafting theme this month sees Eret marooned on a nice warm paradise island and she tells us below what she will be taking with her..................

What six essential crafting item should I take with me? Hmm...

May I have

1) a working power generator,
2) my computer,
3) my printer,
4) scissors,
5) glue,
6) glitter.

Plus 50 sheets of white heavy weight A4 size paper and I would be happy crafter for some time :)

I could pre-design my cards in computer, print every piece I need, cut them out and glue together. I could colour all the digi images in computer, print out all the pattern papers and even make my own coloured papers. That would be perfect. Maybe I would even have time to draw my own images and design some pattern papers.

I would glue scrap pieces of papers on top of each other and make my own fake dimensional. The sand, sea shells, pebbles and twigs would be lovely embellishments.

I need tweezers to place all the pieces to the card, but sadly I don't have room in my luggage for that. I think I would cut a slit to the twig. If I put the paper piece to the slit I could use the twig instead of tweezers. I think it should work :)

Hopefully by the time I run out of the paper some ship will pass with free Wi-Fi connection and my computer will pick it up, so I could send e-mail with my coordination and I would be rescued.

With this scenario I'd be happy to spend a week on the desert island :) May I go right now?

What a lovely description of your time on that island Eret, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading it and sure everyone else will as well, thank you for sharing.

Away in a fantasy world

Morning Peeps, time for our mid month inspirational post and I also want to thank you for all your wonderful entries so far this month, what an amazing array of Christmas inspired creations, I am thinking it's going to be another tough month for the DT selecting our favourites.

So this month it's my turn to be marooned on a desert island and I now realise what a tough job the other girls have had choosing their essential crafting items, but I have whittled it down eventually and here is the brief we have all been set..............

We can select six essential to us craft items, one of which can be a form of colouring medium and for that one choice we can have five colours options and explain why we chose those colours - e.g: five copics or PM's, five colour inkpads.

1) Pan Pastels as my colouring mediums, green, blue, yellow, brown and red, all primary colours as I can blend these to obtain other colours and create definition.

2) Black archival inkpad, I use this daily for all my scenic work.

3) 1" round craft punch to create my moons and suns, I can't have a scene without one or the other.

4) Andy Skinner Winters Tale stamp set - it has trees and birds plus lots of other useful stamps so I could continue to create scenes.

5) Penny Black Take Flight butterfly stamp set

In addition we are all allowed 50 sheets of cardstock and I would like half Fabriano 140gsm hot press and half Centura Pearl as I use the reverse like watercolour card. Not sure how I will cut it but I guess I could fold it and improvise with a piece of driftwood to tear it against.

I realise now that I've not got any Sofft sponges to apply my Pan Pastels so I will probably go diving in the crystal clear waters to find some natural sponge, unless Captain Jack Sparrow - aka Johnny Depp arrives to rescue me................at no time have I ever said I live in anything but a fantasy world.

Thanks for taking a peek and if you have not already entered I do hope you will join us this month.
