December winner and future changes

Good morning to you all, although it's the first day of the New Year I won't use the word 'happy', I will simply say let us all pray together for a much better and safer 2021 for the whole World.

Before moving on to the winner of our December challenge we need to explain changes Brexit is imposing on us. The most significant as far as this challenge is concerned are considerable increases in overseas postage and the need for customs declarations on anything other than a letter leaving the UK.

As a result many UK craft companies are not shipping outside the UK and therefore we have had to make the very difficult decision that in future our main prize can only be shipped to UK winners. We don't like these changes but Brexit leaves us with little option, so to try and compensate and because so many of our loyal entrants are from overseas, starting with our January challenge these changes apply:

The Design Team will still vote for their personal favourites and from their votes a Top 3 will be announced, the entrant with the most votes will be invited to be a Featured Designer. New sidebar badges will be offered to those selected and there will be a small prize which can be sent letter post to the No 1 choice if they are overseas (UK entrants will already have benefited from being included in the main prize draw).

The overall winner will be selected by Random Org., from UK entrants.

The following are as selected by the Design Team from our December entries in the order of votes as cast:

Lorraine, entry no 46
Hanap, entry no 27
(sorry the photo is fuzzy, it was small on Hanap's blog)
Lesley, entry no 48

Congratulations to you all, Lorraine please maiI me with your full name and postal address. I will be back on Sunday with our new challenge.

Glad that you found a way "to work around" Brexit! Think that a lot of small businesses will find them left with less custumors...
Happy New Year to the team!

Sad to hear your changes; not good news for you or for those of us in other parts of the world who don't have good access to supplies.

It's hard to believe that Brexit can cause such a huge change in all these small businesses. Very unfair. Sorry to hear that only people in the UK can win but I understand. Heck, just me shipping a Christmas card over there takes an eternity to get it to the recipient in a timely manner. It shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to ship things. They do make it difficult don't they? Well, we may not like it but we understand it.

Oh my how lovely of a prize it is for this month. The DT did a fabulous job on their cards. Also, last month's winner had such a beautiful card.
